418 deaths due to floods in Bihar, Relief and rescue operations continue

Patna: With the death of 39 people dead in the floods in Bihar on Friday and the situation remains worrisome. The total death in Bihar has increased to 418. In the 19 districts of the state, 1.67 crore people are suffering from floods. At the same time, situation has improved due to the decrease in water level in flood affected areas in Assam and West Bengal. So far, 90 people in West Bengal, 156 in Assam and 72 in Uttar Pradesh have died since the flood.

Due to floods in Bihar, 24 thousand 350 huts have been destroyed by the districts so far. There is a partial damage to more than 1,000 homes. While the loss of raw houses is being assessed. According to the information received between them, the crop in more than seven lakh hectares of fields has been destroyed.




Relief and rescue operations continue

NDRF, SDRF and Army personnel are engaged in relief rescue operations. All the three forces are engaged in relief operations through 2248 personnel of the 51 teams and 280 motorboats. Relief camps, community kitchens are being run for the affected. Those who are returning to their homes, food packets of bread, rice, potato, pulses etc. are being given to them.
