Good to rotate spinners in Australia series: Saurav Ganguly

Kolkata: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday supported the decision to rest Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja for the first three matches of the Australia series of selectors. Ganguly, who came to the spot on a music launch, told the reporters, “It is a decision of the selectors. It is a good decision to try young players before the World Cup. ”

By resting Ashwin and Jadeja, the selectors have given chance Akshar Patel, Chinnaman Kuldeep Yadav and leg-spinner Yuswendra Chahal in the squad for the first three matches of the five-match series against Australia.

Ashwin is currently playing county cricket in England.

Ganguly refused to say anything on the outcome of the series, but he believes that India will not win the series 5-0 because Australia is a better team than Sri Lanka.

Former Indian captain said, “It is very difficult to beat India at home. But Australia is a good team, so the result of the series will not be 5-0. ”

The selectors have not selected Yuvraj Singh in the team. Ganguly said, “He is playing now. Until everything goes away in reality. “till nothing to say.
