Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear that India will not send troops in Afghanistan.

U.S. Defense Secretary James Matisse is on a visit to India. On Tuesday, on the strengthening of defense relations between India and the United States, all aspects of terrorism were discussed. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made it clear that India will not send troops in Afghanistan.



Taking the issue of US military aid to Pakistan with James Matisse, Sitharaman said that India has destroyed the infrastructure that supports terrorism. Nirmala Sitharaman spoke of contributing to building building, dam, school in Afghanistan Apart from this, it also said that India is providing training to the Afghan security forces and this help from India will continue continuously. But, India will not send its troops there.

Discussion on terrorism

Earlier, meeting with James Matisse, Sitharaman said in a joint press conference: “There was a detailed discussion in the meeting on the increasing threat of our neighborhood and border cross-border terrorism. On this issue, we are increasing the similarities between the two countries ‘stance’.
Sitharaman also said that Matisse has assured him that he will raise the issue of terrorism arising from his soil in front of Pakistan.

Mattis kept his side saying, “The safe haven of terrorism can not be tolerated”. He said that we welcome India’s contribution in the Afghan’s Affected area.

India is also among the countries contributing most to the reconstruction of Afghanistan, where it is associated with several development projects.

Explain that US Defense Secretary James Matisse has arrived in New Delhi on Monday to strengthen defense relations from India. Matisse is on a three-day tour of India.
