ASIA Cup hockey: India’s Diwali blast, beaten Malaysia by 6-2

In the second Super-4 match of the 10th Asian Cup hockey tournament in Dhaka, india beat Malaysia 6-2. Akshdeep Singh (15th minute), Harmanpreet Singh (19th minute), SK Uthappa (24th minute), Gurjant Singh (33rd minute), SV Sunil (40th minute) and Sardar Singh (60th minute) in India’s ‘Diwali Wins’ on Thursday. The Malaysian team of 12th World Ranking had earlier defeated India in the same year in two consecutive matches. On June 22, in the Hockey World League semifinals , Malaysia defeated india 3-2 in the quarter-finals. On 5 May , Malaysia beat India 1-0 in the Azlan Shah Cup hockey .

The teams have one match left in the Super-4. The top two teams will face face-to-face on October 22 in the final.
