Kohli made 31st century in his 200th ODI, break the Ponting  second most century record

Team India captain Virat Kohli has surpassed the record of Australia’s former world champion captain Ricky Ponting, in his 200th ODI, his career-best 31st century. At the same time Virat Kohli has now moved to second place in the list of batsmen who have scored the most centuries in ODIs. Ricky Ponting slipped to number three on the spot.

Let us know that Virat Kohli equaled Ricky Ponting’s record of 30 ODI hundreds in the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka last month. But Virat Kohli made his 31st one-day century against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday and recalled his 200th ODI match.

Ricky Ponting, who has won two World Cups in Australia, has scored 30 centuries in 365 innings of 375 ODIs, and if he is talking about Virat Kohli, he has thrown 31 centuries in Ponting just about half the innings.

Now, in the ODIs, there is more than a century in Virat Kohli, only Sachin Tendulkar (49). Virat Kohli has scored 31 hundreds in just 192 innings of 200 ODIs. If Virat Kohli continues to do so, he can also break Tendulkar’s record in ODIs.
