EC Ultimatum to EVM hackers, applications till May 26

The Election Commission is required to confirm its interest to the political parties willing to take part in the EVM Challenge until May 26. Punjab Chief Electoral Officer VK Singh gave this information on Monday.

He said, “Political parties can confirm their interest in challenging Electronic Voting Machines by sending an e-mail to EVM Challenge at ECI Dot GOV Dot Inn, in which the details of the nominated member can be given in the prescribed format.”

Singh said, “Only those political parties who will give information about this on May 26 till 5 pm will be allowed to take part in the challenge starting from June 3.” He said, “Those wishing to participate in the EVM challenge can nominate up to three people.”

The Election Officer once again said that there is no possibility of tampering in the place of bringing or carrying it.

Be prepared for sending EVMs Election Officer
Election Commission has asked the election officials of five states to be ready to send EVMs for the upcoming assembly elections. Actually, the Commission has openly challenged political parties to prove EVMs can be tampered with.

Participating parties in this challenge can demand EVMs used in elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab. Legislative elections were held recently in these five states. The challenge will start from June 3. Parties can use up to four EVMs to prove that these machines can be hacked and hacked in the wake of the elections.

The EVM sealed under the orders of the court will not be used for the challenge. EVMs will be brought in a special kind of trunk for the challenge. Party representatives will be allowed to travel with EVMs.
