On the two-day tour of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 42nd Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank on Tuesday. In a meeting held at Mahatma Mandir Center, Gandhinagar, the PM said that after the BJP came to power at the Center, India’s trade increased from the African countries.
At the same time, PM Modi said that our relations with the African countries have been strengthened. He said that after assuming office in 2014, Africa has been given top priority. In the last 15 years, trade between Africa and India has increased manifold.
PM said that there has been a huge increase in trade between India and Africa in the last 15 years. In the last 5 years, however, business has doubled.
PM said that India is proud to cooperate with Africa in the fields of education and technology. At the same time PM Modi also said that any village of India will not be left without electricity from next year.
Prior to this, the Prime Minister, who reached Kandla in Gujarat under a two-day tour on Monday, inaugurated the development work of 900 crore with the overbridge of the port. The Prime Minister also suggested to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to change the name of Kandla Port to Pandit Deendayal.
