Patna Municipal Corporation Election LIVE: Voting Continues,35 percent voting till 1 pm, Election Commission has given information

Patna: Voting is continuing on Sunday under the municipal elections in Bihar’s capital Patna. Voting for 75 wards started at 7 am in the morning. In the meantime, EVMs have been damaged even before voting started in several polling stations in the morning. Former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, on the booth number 14 of Ward number 43, came to vote with his wife. However, due to the poor EVM of the Center, Sushil Modi had to wait for the EVM to recover. All of them had got 15 per cent voting till 9 am, which reached 35 per cent up till one o’clock in the afternoon.

In Patna, many VIP people, including Governor Ramnath Kovind, Lalu Yadav’s family, used the franchise. Lalu came to the polling booth at Vetanari College to vote with his wife Rabri Devi and elder son Tej Pratap Yadav. While the voter list of booths 15 and 16 of Ward no-10 at Valmikak in Danapur, adjacent to Patna, voters flared when there was no name for many voters. After the ruckus between the voters, there was a clash of two sides. After this the people jammed the road. Police used lathi charge to control the situation.

Lalu Prasad polled
RJD chief Lalu Prasad arrived at the Vatanari College Ground to vote with his family in the poll for Patna Municipal Corporation on Sunday. Here he voted for the election of the Ward Councilor’s Ward Councilor’s ward number four. His family voted on booth number 18 of ward number four. Former Deputy Chief Minister Rabri Devi and elder son and health minister Tej Pratap Yadav also accompanied them to vote. After the voting, RJD chief Lalu Prasad said that he has come to vote with the hope that whatever ward councilor wins, he will take special care on cleanliness. Along with the garbage dump under the house, the surrounding dirt will be cleaned. It is also responsible for elected ward councilors that they will fight for civilian facilities. He did not appeal to the people to vote and said that people are coming out of their homes for voting.
