Bihar:money-laundering case misa bharti will be present before the income tax department today

New Delhi: Ms. Bharti, daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is scheduled to appear the Income Tax Department on Monday. Earlier on June 6, before the Income Tax Department, Misa Bharti had issued a notice for a reason for not being present. Besides, imposing a fine of Rs 10,000 and issued notice on June 12. Summons were issued in connection with the investigation of an Enforcement Directorate one day after the arrest of Chartered Accountant of Bharti (CA) Rakesh Agarwal.

The money laundering racket of Rs 8,000 crore includes two Delhi businessmen and some political institutions. Agarwal was arrested under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The Income Tax Department has alleged in his summons that he wants to ask Misa Bharti and her husband about the transaction done by Mesa Michele Packers and Printer Private Limited. In relation to the Rs 1,000-crore benami deals by Lalu Prasad’s family, the Income Tax Department had conducted raids and surveys in 22 places in Delhi and adjoining areas.
