14 MLAs who voted against Ahmed Patel, have been suspended for 6 years

In the Rajya Sabha elections, Congress has expelled 14 of its MLAs for making a cross-voting revolt. All these legislators have been expelled for 6 years. This action has been taken against violators of the party against the MLAs.

All these are MLAs who rebelled from the party in the voting for the Rajya Sabha elections on Tuesday or voted for the BJP candidate or voted against Congress candidate Ahmed Patel. Prior to voting, the Gujarat Congress had issued Whip to all the legislators. Despite this, the MLAs did not vote in favor of its own party candidate Ahmed Patel.

 





These MLAs include Mahendra Wadala, Raghavji Patel, Hakub Jadeja, CK Rauljee, Amit Chaudhary, Kamasi Makwana and Bholabhai Gohil.
Two of these MLAs are those, whose fault Ahmad Patel’s victory has become a reality. Voting in Gandhinagar on Tuesday Meanwhile, rebel MLA Raghavji Patel and Bholabhai Gohil showcased their ballot paper to the BJP leader present there during the voting. The Congress complained and demanded the cancellation of votes by pleading for violation of rules. Eventually, the Election Commission upheld Congress’s plea and the verdict went on in his favor. So, Ahmed Patel could succeed in reaching the Rajya Sabha for the fifth time. Ahmed Patel has got 44 votes, he has defeated BJP candidate Balwant Singh Rajput.
