If we can not stop offering namaz on the streets, then Janmashtami can not stop in the police station: CM Yogi

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big statement about the use of loudspeakers during religious visits and celebration of Janmashtami in the police stations, prayers of people on the streets and celebrating Janmashtami during the Kanwar Yatra,. CM Yogi has said that if the offering namaz on the road can not be stopped on the day of Eid, then celebrating Janmashtami in the police stations can not be stopped. Not only that, advocating for the relaxation of playing loudspeakers during the Kanwar Yatra,, Yogi said that if it is to be stopped, then every shrine should be located on every Religious Places.

CM Yogi was launching a special issue of RSS’s Keshav magazine yesterday. During this time, CM Yogi targeted the former SP government. They said, “If you can not stop the prayers of Eid on the road, then there is no right to stop the police station for celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami.”




He also said that after being briefed by officers regarding the usage of microphones, DJs and music systems during the Kanwar Yatra, he had asked the administration if a ban on the sound could be enforced and if such a thing was impossible, then the Yatra would continue as it always had.

However, he mentioned at the event organised by the Prerna Jansanchar Evam Shidh Sansthan, Noida and Lucknow Jansanchar Evam Patrakarita Sansthan that when he was told so by the officers, he stated that how would it be a Kanwar Yatra if music was not played.
“I asked if this was a kanwar yatra or a funeral procession. If they don’t play music and drums, don’t dance and sing, don’t use the mike, how will it be a kanwar yatra,” he said.

He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the bank account of the people standing at the end of the Jan-Dhan Yojana for this reason because he had the thought of Anodyod of Pandit Deendayal.”
