Patna: The remaining one-lane state roads in Bihar will be converted into two lanes during the next three years. In the order of a high level review meeting of Road Construction Department and Transport Department in the Communication Room located in the Chief Secretariat, the Chief Minister gave necessary directions to the officials of the respective departments. During the review meeting of the Road Construction Department, during the review meeting of the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister directed that the total length of 4,005 km of state highways, out of which 1,320 km remained single, would be given to two lanes accordingly.



The Chief Secretary said that the acceptance of allotment of Patna Outer Ring Road was given in the meeting. Now Patna Outer Ring Road will be built on the alliance of SH-78. This Outer Ring Road will be developed from Kanohli and will be developed in the form of Naubatpur, Lakhana, Danyiwan, Fatuah, Kachi Dargah.

An additional four-lane bridge will be made parallel to Gandhi bridge

The Chief Secretary informed that acceptance of alignment was given for the construction of an additional four lane bridge parallel to Mahatma Gandhi Setu. From Four zero Mile to Ramashish Chowk, it will be developed as the Four Lane Bridge Nutan Gandhi Setu.
