Bihar: Bulk and retail sale of sand and ballast will be started from December 1 under government supervision

Patna: The problem of sand-ballast in the state will be removed from December 1. In the government’s supervision, preparations for selling sand-ballast in the entire state since December 1 are in the final stages. In bulk, retail is also being arranged for sale of sand and ballast.




The deadline to complete all the preparations for this has been fixed November 28. The deficiencies found on November 29 after reviewing the preparations will be removed by November 30. After this, the bulk and retail business of sand-ballast will start smoothly in the new system from December 1 in the state.

The Department of Mines has fixed the rates of sand and ballast. Along with this, the responsibility has been given to the Department of Mines to make the depot of sand-ballast in all the districts, appoint them trained officers, install electronic treasures there and fasten the GPS on vehicles. In order to sell sand and ballast in Patna district, the department has made a depot of Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited in Nisarpura village of Rani Talab police station area.
