Patna / Bhagalpur: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the CBI to hand over the investigation into the illegal withdrawal of money from the government account in Bhagalpur district. According to a press release issued from the Chief Minister’s Office, in the entire account of illegal withdrawal of funds from the government account in Bhagalpur and on all aspects, Nitish Kumar on Thursday, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, DGP PK Thakur, Home Secretary Principal Secretary Aamir Dwaryani and Economic Offenses Reviewed with the unit’s Inspector General GS Gangwar.




In this case, the role of government officials and employees is seen along with nationalized banks. The Chief Minister directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the entire matter in this regard.

Additional DGP (Headquarters) SK Singhal had said that 10 people have been arrested in this case and it has reached more than 950 crore of embezzlement. Significantly, RJD chief Lalu Prasad had demanded the CBI probe into the matter.

According to information received from Bhagalpur, the former Deputy Chief Minister, who reached there last night, sat on the station chowk about the demand of a CBI inquiry into the matter. There was a meeting in Sabaror of Bhagalpur district on Thursday, but before that, he had to adjourn his meeting due to Section 144 imposed in the wake of Bisahar Pooja on behalf of the district administration.

Former Deputy Chief Minister and Lalu’s younger son, Tejashwi yadav, condemned the attitude of the administration and left for neighboring district Munger on Thursday.
