Bihar: Five women killed by train and three injured

Five women, who were going to Ganga bathing diring Chhath, were cut off from the train while four others, including two women, are being reported injured. Two of the dead were of the same family. The incident took place on Monday morning near Adalpur railway station in Munger district of Bihar.

According to information, women near Adalpur railway crossing were caught in the grip of Danapur Intercity Express.
According to the villagers, the driver of the train did not play the horn, due to which women remained oblivious of his arrival. Due to the fog because of crossing the rail track, the train did not appear and they became victims of the accident. The train went to trough them.

Angry villagers have jammed the rail track after the incident. With this, the operation of trains on the up and down line has been interrupted. Meanwhile, the administration has announced compensation of four four lakhs rupees to the families of the dead.
