Patna / Ranchi: The summons have been issued against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and other accused including Jagannath Mishra. In the RC-64A / 96 case related to the fodder scam, the special CBI Judge Shivpal Singh has issued this summons.

The court has fixed June 9 for the presence of accused. The accused have been asked to appear physically present. This case relates to illegal withdrawal of 97 lakh rupees from Devgarh treasury. Former Chief Minister of Bihar Jagannath Mishra and retired Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty of Jharkhand were present on Tuesday in the court of special CBI judge SS Prasad. Both the cases related to the fodder scam are accused in RC 68 A / 96. This case is related to illegal withdrawal from Chaibasa Treasury. Jagannath Mishra and Sajal Chakraborty are accused of helping in the evacuation of 33 crore.

The court had earlier issued summons against both of them. The court had issued summons after the Supreme Court ordered the trial of the accused on the CBI’s plea to prosecute the accused. It is noteworthy that after the sentence was pronounced in RC 20A / 96, on the petition of Jagannath, the Jharkhand High Court had stopped the trial in four cases related to the fodder scam. The trial was also stopped against Sajal Chakraborty while the trial against Lalu Prasad is going on.
