Bihar will make dowry free after complete Prohibition on alcohol : nitish kumar

Munger: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that Bihar is giving direction to the country against social evils. After complete complete Prohibition on alcohol in the state, dense campaign against dowry and child marriage will be started from October. He was addressing the gathering held in Khaira village of Khargpur, Munger district on Tuesday.

On this occasion, he inaugurated the Fluoride Free Khaira Water Supply Multipurpose Project, built at a cost of Rs 35.60 crore. The Chief Minister said that the era of social change in Bihar is going on. We had first made liquor in the state and then completely cleaned Bihar. After complete de-addiction, happiness has returned to the state and social change is clearly visible. He said that now we will campaign for a dowry-free society and free the state from the like of child marriage. He appealed to the people that they oppose dowry and do not dowry or dowry. He said that in the marriage where dowry is taken, boycott it.

The Chief Minister said, on 5th June, 2010 when I came to Khaira during the trust visit, then the condition of the situation was diluted. 50-60 people were sick due to drinking fluoride drinking water. At the same time, I had announced that this village would provide fluoride free drinking water. Today my dream is complete. He said that the government will provide all the houses of the urban and rural areas with the net drinking water supply through tap.
The program was chaired by PHED Minister Krishanandan Prasad Verma. On the occasion, Water Resources Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Rural Work Minister Shailesh Kumar and Minister in-charge of the district co-Panchayati Raj Kapilde Kamat were present.
