CM Yogi launches ‘Namami Gange Jagriti Yatra’

Lucknow: Inaugurating the ‘Namami Gangge Awakening Yatra’, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the central and state government will work together to identify the oldest culture of the world to save Ganga. He told Ganga not only the medium of development of Indian civilization and culture but also as a witness, that everyone should take responsibility for keeping it clean.

CM Yogi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his first time in the form of separate ministry for cleaning Ganga after Independence. He said that the present government of the center is trying for cleanliness and inconvenience of the Ganga with emotional attachment. The Chief Minister was speaking on the occasion of the launch of ‘Namami Ganga Jagriti Yatra’ organized by the Home Guards Organization on his official residence.

CM Yogi lauded this journey proposed from Bijnor to Ballia from Janpad said that it will help in connecting common people, business and social organizations, youth, farmers, students and environment conscious citizens with ‘Namami Ganga Project’ .

It is worth noting that during the visit, efforts will be made to make people awareness by organizing meetings through more than one lakh home guards self-helpers in 25 districts of Ganga flow area of ​​the state. This journey will end on September 6, 2017.
