flood in bihar: 21 people were Missing, 13 bodies recovered in Sitamarhi

Sitamadhi: Between the ongoing hail of the rivers of Bagmati and Adhara group in Sitamarhi district of Bihar, where the entire area has been submerged. The water of the flood has entered the areas of Sitamarhi and the district headquarters Dumra.




There is tremendous pressure on the water of the Lakhandai river in Sitamarhi city. Flood water has penetrated in most of the city’s premises. Here, electricity and communication services are getting stalled due to floods. At the same time, 21 people have been washed away in flood water at different places within the last 24 hours. The bodies of 13 people have been recovered. The search for bodies of seven people is still on. Apart from this, one unknown body has been recovered in Sitamdi city and SUPP. 7 in Puri, 4 in Riga, 2 in Dumra, 3 in Sitamarhi city, one in each Choroth, Parsoni and Surasund is flooded in flood water.

Before this, 5 people in Bairagania, 1 in Bajpatti, 1 in Bathnah, 2 in Mejarganj and 2 in Nanpur and one in ten people were flooded away in tflood water. Within a span of four days, a total of 31 people have died in the flood. However, DM Rajiv Rautan has confirmed 11 deaths due to the flood on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, District Disaster Management Officer Satya Prakash Sharma has said that the administration has information of the deaths due to floods has only figures till Tuesday.
