Patna: Governor Satyapal Malik and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have greeted the citizens of bihar on Makar Sankranti and Lohri festivals.

The governor said that Makar Sankranti communicates happiness, goodwill and love in the lives of the citizens. All people celebrate it with glee and fraternity.




The Chief Minister said that they have cultural significance. On this day people drink bunks, curd, chillies and feed after the holy bath. It increases mutual love and harmony. People celebrate Lohri festivities in the joy of coming home of new crops. Celebrating the festivals with euphoria and mutual affection, harmony will increase social harmony in the society. Then there will be a happy, developed and proud Bihar.
