GST: 22 lakh businessmen GST returns filed on last day, filing completed for August

The last day on Wednesday was to fill GST returns for August. More than 22 lakh businessmen filed the returns on this day. On the last day GSTN portal has a lot of business people.

According to sources, more than 21.83 lakh businessmen filed returns on the portal till 6 pm. This was the second month after the GST was implemented on July 1, when GSTR-3B forms were to be filed. Just like in the previous month, the traders also made a large number of retirements on the last day.




47 lakh paid returns in July

In July, about 47 lakh people filed GSTR returns. This resulted in revenue of Rs. 95 thousand crore to the exchequer of the government.

Can file one million returns in one hour

The Finance Minister said that the capacity of GSTN to file one lakh returns per hour. That is, there should not be any problem in filing 24 lakh GST returns in a day. He appealed to all the businessmen to fill their returns as soon as possible and not wait for the last date.
