indian airforce deploy super hercules at panagarh base

Between the ongoing doklam dispute with China, Indian Air Force has deployed C-130J Super Hercules aircraft at its Arjan Singh Air Force Station located in Panagad. According to the Times of India, for the last two years, Lokhid Martin’s engineers were making hangars for these aircraft. With the deployment of these aircraft, AFS Arjan Singh will now be able to reach the North East states as well as in the adjoining areas of Line of Actual Control.

Let us tell that Air Force Station of Panagadh, 150 km away from Kolkata, has become the second base in the country, where the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft will be deployed. Prior to this, only C-130J aircraft will be deployed at Ghaziabad’s Hindustan Air Force Base.

A senior EAF officer told that the Ilushin Il-78 mid air refiller is present at Panagadh airbase. C-130J Super Hercules aircraft will get stronger on the Eastern Air Command (EAC). The special thing about Super Hercules aircraft is that it can be able to get the troops in difficult areas in the short notice.
