Kuldeep Yadav India’s first spin bowler to take hat-trick in ODIs

Team India’s Chinnaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has create history with taken hat-tricks in the second ODI being played against Australasia in Kolkata. Kuldeep Yadav became the first spin bowler to take a hat-trick in ODI cricket for India, taking hat-trick in the second ODI against Australia.

Prior to Kuldeep Yadav for India, any spin bowler in ODI cricket has not yet made a record of taking hat-trick. Speaking of Test cricket, however, Harbhajan Singh is the only spin bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket for Team India. Harbhajan Singh made a record of taking hat-trick in the Kolkata Test played in 2001 against Australia.




Talk about the bowlers taking a hat-trick in ODIs for India, then there is the name of Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev before Kuldeep Yadav. Chetan Sharma took the first ODI hat-trick in Nagpur against New Zealand in 1987 World Cup in Nagpur. After that Kapil Dev became the second bowler to take hat-trick in ODIs against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in 1991. On Thursday, Kuldeep Yadav, 26 years later, has got his name registered in this list, with a hat-trick in Kolkata.
