Lalu will not be present in front of CBI today, new notice will be issued

New Delhi: Lalu Yadav will not be present today at the Delhi CBI headquarters in the Railway Hotel Lease scam case. According to CBI sources, Lalu’s lawyer’s plea will be reviewed today and after the review, fresh notice can be issued to Lalu Yadav again. The CBI had made complete preparations for inquiries from Lalu Yadav.

It is worth mentioning that in connection with the alleged corruption in handing over contracts for care of two hotels of IRCTC to a private firm, the former Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Yadav was to appear before the CBI today. While the tejashwi Yadav is scheduled to be released on the 12th of September.




In July this year, the CBI raided around 12 bases including Lalu’s Patna and Delhi. Lalu has alleged that when he was the railway minister, he had made mistakes in the allocation of railway hotels.

In this case, besides Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejasiv Yadav, Sarla Gupta, wife of Premu Chand Gupta, Lalu’s colleague, Vijay Kochhar, Vinay Kochhar, both directors of Sujata Hotels in Patna, Delight Marketing Company Pvt. Ltd. (Lara Projects), The CBI had filed an FIR on July 5 against many people including former IRCTC MD. The CBI has registered the case under section 420, 120B, 13 1D of IPC on these people.
