Nandan Nilekani’s return to Infosys: appointed as Non-Executive Chairman

New Delhi: After the vishal sikka has gone, the search for new faces for Infosys has been completed. Nandan Nilekani has been appointed as the new non-executive chairman of Infosys.  many former and current Infosys executives including top 12 fund managers were making recommendations.




Nandan Nilekani has been the co-founder and former chief executive of Infosys. In Nilekani, 42 per cent of Infosys revenue and 28 per cent in margins were seen in annual growth. Nandan Nilekani is currently working as the UIDAI Chairman.

Significantly, yesterday, former Infosys CFO V Balakrishnan advised Nandan Nilekani to be the chairman of the company. He said that due to his experience and understanding of the customers in the current situation, Nilekani could be a ‘good face’ for the company’s leadership.

Please tell that Nandan Nilekani was the CEO of Infosys from March 2002-2007. Then he became Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIADAI) in year 2009. Credit rating was given to Nandan Nilekani. In 2014, Nandan Nilekani joined the Congress party and also contested from the Bangalore South seat. Nandan Nilekani has also lived in the advisory committee of the World Economic Forum.
