Qatar has announced the grant of no visa to citizens of 80 countries. Apart from India, this list includes countries like Britain, America, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Lebanon and New Zealand.
After the restrictions of Arab countries, Qatar has decided to promote tourism. Qatar Tourism Authority said that after the introduction of the visa-free entry program, Qatar has become the most independent region. The Chairman of the Authority, Hasan Al Ibrahim, said that we are excited to welcome the people of other countries.

The statement said that now citizens of these 80 countries will not have to apply for visa or to spend money for them to come to Qatar. On entry in Qatar, passengers will be given an exemption letter. These letters will be different for the citizens of different countries.

According to the official statement, the citizens of 33 countries will be allowed to stay in Qatar for 180 days. While the rest of the 47 countries will be able to stay here for only 30 days.

In June 2017, seven Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, had announced to end their relationship with Qatar. These countries had made many serious allegations like Iran’s support to Qatar, spreading unrest in the region. After which these countries had declared diplomatic relations with Qatar to end land, sea and air relations. However, Qatar has consistently denied the allegation and denied the ban.
