Shah Rukh Khan did support GST, ‘Film industry will be beneficial in the long run’

Kolkata: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday said that the goods and service tax (GST) on the film industry will be beneficial for the long-term consumers. He said that trade would also benefit from the same tax system. Shahrukh told reporters during the promotion of the upcoming movie ‘Jab Hari Mate Sejal’, “I think 28 percent is the same thing now. Finally the consumer will benefit. Probably not now, but later it will be beneficial. It will not be returned directly to the consumer, but will be returned indirectly. ”

He said, “Before this it was different for different states, in many states it is less in many and many, so it will affect everyone across the country. I think it is a very good thing that Now we have the same tax system, which will help in business in a long time. ”

Shah Rukh said, “In the next few years we will have a stoppage.” The GST Council has fixed 18 percent tax on film tickets worth Rs 100 and below. A film ticket of more than Rs 100 will be taxed at 28 per cent.
