In the case of Sunanda Pushkar’s death, the High Court has strongly condemned the Delhi Police. The court said in a strict accent to the police that even after more than three years, you have not been able to reach any conclusions. The court asked in 2 weeks to close the case or file chargesheets.

High court expressed displeasure over the investigation of Sunanda Pushkar’s death case, saying that in the case of 2014, you have no status report nor have you been able to file a charge sheet. Nor have you been able to report the closure, what is it, why you did not reach any conclusions even after the time of 3 years has passed.

The High Court said that this is not a good tradition that courts should monitor matters, but we want to know exactly what stage the investigation is on, what is going on in the case. Delhi Police said that the investigation is being conducted in a very scientific manner. We are very close to the conclusion of the case. The High Court gave Delhi Police two weeks time to tell them what they want to do in the last case.

The court said that the police has not even filed a charge sheet till date in this case. Therefore, the matter should be transferred to the CBI. The court has also sent notices to the Delhi Police and the Central Government in this case.

Delhi Police say that it is about to complete its investigation in this case. However, in response to the court’s , it has also said that if the investigation of the case is handed over to the CBI, then he has no objection.
