Team India beat Australia by 9 wickets in the first T-20 match at MS Dhoni’s home town Ranchi and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T-20 series. Batting first, losing the toss, the Australian team lost 118 wickets in 18.4 overs to lose their 8 wickets. But then due to rain Australia’s innings did not start and Team India gave the revised target of 48 runs in 6 overs.

In response, the team took its name by 9 wickets under India to chase the target in 5.3 overs to make 49 runs and the match Duckworth-Lewis method. For Team India, Shikhar Dhawan scored 15, while Virat Kohli scored 22 runs for his win.




Aaron Finch top scored with 42 runs. None of the batsmen could survive in the crease except Finch. Australia lost their last six wickets in 37 runs. Jaspreet Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav from Team India got 2-2 while Chahal, Bhuvi and Pandya took 1-1 wickets.

Henriques was bowled by Kuldeep Yadav for a fourth blow to Australia, while Pandya sent a fifth blow to Travis Haddl on the private score of 9 runs to send back the pavilion.

In the 18th over, Bumrah hit Tim Paen (17) and Nathan Coulter-Nile (1) to give Australia a consistent sixth and 7th blow. At that time Australia’s score was 113. In the 19th over, Kohli scored an eighth blow to Daniel Christian.
