Terrorist attack outside the SOG camp in Kashmiri Shopian, 1 jawan serious injured

Militants fired upon a policeman outside his camp in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday, leaving him injured.

The shooting happened in Imam Sahib area of the district near the camp of the special operations group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, a police official said.

Special Police Officer (SPO) Khursheed Ahmad, who was injured in the attack, was rushed to the sub-district hospital.

Security forces have again been targeted by unknown militants in Shopian Kashmir. According to information, a Joginder of Jammu Kashmir Police has been fired by terrorists in Shopian district of South Kashmir.
According to information received from sources, the incident happened in the Imamsahab of district Shopian in South Kashmir, where the terrorists attacked the policeman outside the camp of the Special Operations Group. During this, the injured jawan was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition.

The injured jawan has been identified as Khurshid Ahmed, who was admitted to the local hospital in Shopian where he was referred to Srinagar on condition of deterioration. In the area of ​​the incident, search operations are being conducted by the security forces to search the terrorists.
